27 November 2021 to 6 March 2022

Pop art appeals to everyone's imagination. Artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Panamarenko are contemporary world heritage. With a balanced selection of works from American and European pop art, S.M.A.K. presents an art movement that is more topical than ever. On the basis of some 40 masterpieces, you will be introduced to a key period of post-war art history. The exhibition brings together works from the Matthys-Colle private collection, which S.M.A.K. recently received on long-term loan, and the S.M.A.K. museum collection.

With works by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Tom Wesselmann, Panamarenko, Martial Raysse, Christo, Jean Tinguely, Marcel Broodthaers, Konrad Klapheck, Yves Klein, Claes Oldenburg, Arman and Gerhard Richter, among others.
