Oostende voor Anker Harbour festival
27 to 30 May 2021
The port city of Ostend is celebrating its maritime heritage from 27 to 30 May: at the Ostend at Anchor Festival, visitors can admire more than 150 historic ships. From small flat-bottomed boats and functional pilot ships, to mighty Four Masters, water vessels of all kinds will moor at the quay walls. Ashore, gastronomes, artists and craftsmen will enrich the festival with samples of their skills. Folk ensembles as well as shanty choirs from various countries will provide the festive musical background.
The family-friendly festival programme starts daily at 10 am and does not end until the evening. Entrance is free of charge. Between 180,000 and 200,000 visitors are expected over the four days. This year's theme is "Ensor at sea".
